Trees

Hi again, HAPPY NEW YEAR. Today is the official starting day that I blog about something to be grateful for, and today I am grateful for trees….that is right, trees. Today is our 10th wedding anniversary and before going out for a lovely meal in a Greek restaurant for lunch, we went on a bush walk at Toorloo Arm alongside a river and through a rainforest. The trees there were beautiful, ranging in size, shape and species. Did you know that trees can live thousands of years and can grow up to 115m high? Trees are an important component of our natural landscape, they prevent erosion and provide shelter, habitat and produce oxygen for us to breathe. I don’t know why, but to me lately, I have found trees to be unusual, beautiful and awe inspiring, and even our seven year old daughter Zoe, said while walking through the rainforest “ this is the best day, it’s like an adventure”. So, we will be doing lots more bush walking in the future.
Here are some photos I took today.
